Jurat Pricing

Jurat uses simple, pay-as-you-go pricing. You only pay for what you use — no subscriptions, no lock-in contracts, no surprises.

How pricing works

Jurat uses multiple AI models during the research process — different models for searching, reading, analysing, and writing. Because of this, there isn't a single per-token price I can quote. Instead, the cost of a research query depends on its complexity, the level of detail required, and whether the research has to span both official languages — bilingual queries cost a bit more because Jurat is reading and analysing decisions in both English and French.

A straightforward, single-issue query might cost around $3, while the most complex, multi-issue research problems with comprehensive analysis could run up to around $25. Most queries fall between the $3 and $10 range. In general, what drives a query toward the higher end is the number of distinct legal issues involved, the breadth of jurisdictions Jurat has to canvass, the volume of authorities it needs to read in full, and how thorough the requested analysis is — a focused question on a settled point of provincial law is cheap, while a multi-issue, multi-jurisdictional problem requiring an in-depth memo costs more.

Why pay-as-you-go?

Traditional legal research tools charge flat monthly fees regardless of how much you use them. That model works for large firms running hundreds of searches a month, but it's prohibitively expensive for solo practitioners, small firms, and legal clinics that only need occasional access.

Pay-as-you-go pricing means you pay proportionally to the work Jurat does for you. Your usage is tracked throughout the month and billed at the end of each calendar month. Use it once a week or fifty times a day — your cost always reflects your actual usage.
